Whoa, crazy story.  So I was in Piran feeling pretty dirty and grumpy and decided to book a ticket from Venice to Barcelona since I found a really good deal, 75 dollars.  Had to book it for Tuesday though since they didnt have anything sooner.  I was contemplating going back to Ljubljana and taking a break from traveling but couldnt find any hostels with room.  So I hopped on a bus to Koper, a small coastal town about 30 min. from Piran, and another bus to Trieste in Italy.  Wasnt quite sure what I was going to do once I got there and my guide book doesnt have anything on it.  Got there and inquired about tickets to Florence since I have some time to kill before I have to be in Venice.  Then I quickly changed my mind and booked a ticket to Naples since it was a night train and would give me some time to look around Trieste.  Just so happened that they are having an Italian Oktoberfest there right now, lots of food stalls and fresh cannolis (sorry mom, had to do it but it just wasnt the same without you!).  So I boarded my night train at 10 pm and got to Naples at 10 am.
