Spent 7 days at the beachcomer island resort meeting twenty somethings, drinking with twenty somethings, laughing at sunburnt twenty somethings, and getting sick of twenty somethings. I also tried to teach myself to do backflips. Advise for learning to do backflips: If you don't get it the first twenty times, it's probably not going to happen that day. I would also advise you to choose a sandy beach WITHOUT shards of coral in it. Feel free to bitchslap anyone that makes a drinking game out of your failure.

Other things worth remembering:

Got my dive certification along with two British chicks who acted like royalty and spoke as if I didn't exist. They float well enough.

Travelled to Taveuni Island on a ferry which took 14 hours. It's a good thing Fijian mothers know how to control their children.(that is not a joke)

Spent the next week at Tovu Tovu resort, diving with Tyron, Eliah, and Nathan.

Drank Kava almost every night with the men of the family of Alan, the guy that owns Tovu Tovu.

Rode around in a pickup with eight fijians while drinking Fiji Bitter out of a shot glass which ultimately meant that I was obliged to buy more beer from the "black" market at 1:00 in the morning.

Had a thanksgiving feast with turkey, mashed potatoes, and gravey thanks to the compassionate lady running the Coconut Grove hotel and reastraunt. Still pale in comparison to what it is at home, but you do what you can.

Made a solid hike up to the third waterfall in one of taveuni's natural rainforest reserves. Fished for rocks for grandma (She likes rocks).

Accidently left my swim shorts at the airport. I cried for days. Goodbye noble red trunks, we had a hell of a run.
