So in the interest of sharing the work with the general public of Nelson, we informed the local newspaper, "The Nelson Mail", that an amazing work of art had just been completed, and that they would be fools if they did not send a reporter post haste.
Actually, Bev(the owner) set it up, I just took a shower because I looked like shit and smelled like terpentine after three all nighters in less than six days.
The interview went well, the photographer snapped a few pics and low and behold, two days later my beautifully colored painting was rendered in white and gray washed out newsprint. The article is pretty square, but the kid who wrote it seemed nice enough. I've been working like a madman with photoshop to put together a decent documentation of the work. Please let me know if anything about the painting was especially difficult to perceive given the photos from in my last entry.
I am struggling to get out of Nelson as it has become something of a comfortable place to work and sleep over the last month. Hopefully I'll make it back to christchurch in time to return my unused rental car, and catch the plane to melbourne.
