On the lakeshore at Taupo for a couple of nights, much nicer town than Rotorua. It doesnt stink of sulphur!
Lots more bubbling mud & hot streams into the lake.
Jet boating over the rapids was hilarious, our pilot ensured we all got soaked & we all wondered just how close to the rocks he was going to get - very close was the answer.
Chris also threw himself off a cliff - 157ft down into the Waikato river, where he was dunked into the water whist dangling from a piece of elastic. He was grinning for days afterwards! Guy didnt Bungy!
Long walks to massive Huka falls were followed by a relaxing soak in the hot stream & hot waterfall that flow into the Waikato river.
Drove back to Auckland in the pouring rain via Cambridge they think it's just like Cambridge back home but the only thing it had in common with home was that they charge you to use the toilets.
