What an amazing view from our motel the sea, green fields and rocky snow capped moutains, a good start to our visit to the Dolphin watching mecca of Kaikoura.
I had always wanted to swim with Dolphins & this is where you come to do it. So all wetsuited up & ready to go we get on the boat for the trip of a lifetime out to the cold waters of the Kaikoura bay - but the Dolphins didn't turn up! None - but on all the videos & photos there are always dozens & dozens, not today . V disappointing. Oh well we did see Albatross & lots of Seals , but they were on the shore amongst the rocks. Yes suddenly we see masses of wildlife together for the first time in NZ but sadly not even a single Dolphin!
