Returned to Christchurch so Paul could catch the plane back home & update all his fern discoveries, oh and return to work!. Christchurch felt like a proper small city with stone buildings! the journey had been one of more spectacular scenery including views of Mt Cook that were better than the postcards as there were no clouds at all & the lake waters were perfectly blue to match the sky.
We had our last dinner with Paul in the Octagon, one of the oldest ( for NZ) churches with live music, it looked quite posh but we were told we didnt need to dress up! - i think they needed the customers more than they wanted a dress code!
Christchurch also has a good camera shop & we now have an updated model & by popular demand will be uploading photos to the blog soon.....
