Hola Amigos!leaving the car behind we embarked on a long trip south via the Green Blue & Red lines of the LA metro, the Amtrak Surfliner to San Diego, the tram to the border & stolled through the turnstile into Mexico where a huge flag was flying over Tijuana. TJ was v quite so we lunched on Ceasar salad at the Ceasar hotel where it was supposedly invented before taking the bus south to Ensenada.Ensenda has an even bigger flag on an even bigger flagpole - simply enormous. We couldnt stomach the hotel Colon - so stayed at the bright lights of the Hotel Hacienda instead, where we were visited at 3:30am by a random Mexican woman who let herself into our room - not sure who screamed loudest, her seeing the 2 of us or us being woken up by her!!Caught local buses past another huge Mexican flag, to La Bufadora an impressive blowhole at the end of a v scenic peninsula covered with shanty town holiday homes for retired Californians, where were the town planners? Ate great fish tacos at the fish market - as always the best food is not in the main tourist area.Watched the Independence Day Fiesta which comprised lots of stereotypical tight trousered, moustachioed men dancing with women in Flamenco style dresses but rather surprisingly a lot of the music was straight from the Austrian Tirol??? Drank good Margaritas at the old casino that claims to have invented them.Getting back into the USA was a doddle, literally the easiest US entry we have ever had - the mexican in front of us didnt even have a passport, just a letter of some kind & was waived through, we didnt even have to have our fingerprints taken as you do at the airports & no customs either?
