it is not touristic at all, people ask you why u came? after a while it's easy to realize that people living in here stay here, they don't wanna live somewhere else, between mexican country music, mexican beer and mexican food, the way of life goes sweet and nothing has to change.
Some people stay afraid of drug traficants coz they seems to be pretty gun fighters, anyway after asking to few people: nobody never heard of an innocent person touched by this activity...
The moral is: people kill each other for a reason.
As i'm out of this bizness i don't mind and just take care to stay in crowded places, anyway most of the time i'm surrounded by my Mexican friends i came to visit in chihuahua
The angel
. so they stay aware of any trouble maker.. only good time in here.two things: mexican people like so much beer that exist a bar-drive-in (la cerveceria : the brewery). it is crowded days and nights, very pleasant place where it's easy to meet easy going mexican people (are they always are) and second things: "carne asada" means pretty much BBQ done between friends, but with mexicans people it turns fast to 20 kilos of meat + many many cartons of beer and bandas + tequila...it runs for hours and is definitely a very nice way to socialize.
Chihuahua...very nice, just need a first contact then everything rolls...
