So only today after I woke up have I actually started feeling better. Last night still sucked. But its now 8pm and I haven't been to the bathroom since I have gotten up. It seems to all of a sudden have stopped. I have been feeling more and more normal. Which is nice because for the past few days I have been living off of plain white rice, jello, and water, and frankly, that sucks. So today I stepped it up to bananas and added crackers to the mix. And for dinner, wow, I went all out, I added a whole bouillon cube to my white rice. Honestly, the bouillon cube was amazing. I haven't tasted flavor in days and that made my Sunday evening.
Since I was feeling good today, I went down to the beach and watched the surfers and wind surfers cruise the waves. It was nice to sit out in the sun, listen to music and chill out after being couped up inside trying to recover.
I had kind of hit a low point in my travels a couple of days ago. It was cold, I was traveling alone again, and there were no other travelers around to talk to, but all of those things aren't that bad and don't really bother me that much. But what drove the nail into the board was the fact that I had gotten really sick. Being really sick while traveling and being alone during it..... that really blows. The one thing that I won't miss about traveling is getting stomach sick.
I have also been missing Chelsea. She is doing well and adjusting again to normal life back in Penn. I'm not in the mood to pour out emotion and especially on the blog, but I can pretty much confess that I am constantly bummed that she isn't around and I deeply miss her company.
So tomorrow (unless I somehow get sick again), I will be heading south tomorrow and will have some forward progress after being stuck here for almost a week recovering.
