The Mir (officially known as miranda, but we donīt let anyone know that) have officially departed from each other. It was a rushed good bye, but it wasnīt so much a good bye as much as it was a see you later. I'm not gonna lie, I was scared of travelling with a girl ( a high rolling NYC girl, hehe) and worried that it would go horribly wrong. But it actually turned out great, and I would totally travel with The Mir again. I donīt think I have ever gotten to know a person faster than with Miranda. We had some really great conversations about life and all that jazz, and it was kind of funny the different things that we picked up from each other (Mir now checks girls out for me and gives me a heads up when she sees a good one..... its almost too good how I was spoiled). It was interesting to have two people of the same age and heading in totally opposite directions in life.
Mir, I miss your company and making fun of you, I will miss our talks as well as our laughs (donīt be telling too many people about those stories, hehe), I hope that we can meet up on the other side of the world (besides meeting up in NYC of course) and we can go and have your damn martinis that will cost more than my hostel room ;-) And good luck in school (she is going to Columbia Business school in the fall, smart kiddo)

Well I am off from Bari with the train to Venice where I meet my buddy Joel (we met in Istanbul a few weeks ago) to head off to Pamplona, Spain. Without Miranda (the ultimate planner of nearly everything) I donīt have a hostel booked in Venice. So I was stuck wandering around Venice at 10:30pm until I stumbled on a cheap room (I was fully convinced and ready to have to sleep in some park or field because everything was so booked up). So instead I got a closet with 3 beds in it to share with two germans, at least it had a shower. Meeting Joel at the Venice airport tomorrow.
