Riding scooters across dope island of Santorini

Santorini is dope!
+ fairly big island
+ awesome sunsets
+ rented a scooter (Miranda had to rent an ATV because she doesn't have a motorcycle license, she probably would have died)
+ cruised around the entire island checking out the different beaches, coves and towns, it was pretty sweet
+ at one point the road goes along the airport runway and I got the scooter up to 80km/hr (like 50mph, kind of fast for the crappy little 80cc engines) and I could totally hear the theme song for Top Gun in my head (moment of cheesy glory)
+ ditched Miranda (not so much ditched as we split up to do our own things) so that I could ride the crappy scooter as fast as I wanted along the beach and fuck around
+ got sweet pics of the sunset in Oia
+ saw Germany lose to Italy in the world cup, totally want Italy to win
+ met a cool French chick (I love the accents of french girls speaking english, probably one of the hottest things ever) who lives outside Versailles, totally gonna go visit her at some point
+ 2nd day was spent doing nothing on the Perissa beach, really cool because its not sand, its these really tiny black pebbles (so its not like sand that gets everywhere and is messy and it doesn't hurt to walk on)
+ Miranda and I have had a series (about everyday) of discussions about life, jobs and relationships that is ever continuing. Really interesting. Miranda is totally turning into a sister, I'm pretty sure we have spilled each others funniest secrets to each other... kind of funny that we have only had two weeks to get to know each other.
+ on the bus ride back from the beach met some cool New Yorkers, Michelle and Yale who invited us to their dope hotel that is on the cliff in the town of Fira (where all the expensive hotels are) to watch the sunset, we ended up hanging out with the two girls all night (Yale was super stoked to get to charge up her ipod on our chargers). I also relearned the card game Spit which I haven't played since middle school
+ Miranda is the total social butterfly of Santorini, we have literally run into several groups of people (incidentally they are mostly girls, apparently she isn't good at the whole social butterfly thing with guys)
