European soccer fans are crazy! I am extremely impressed with how many fans have come from all over to support their teams and how many of them there are. The soccer fans have literally taken over all German cities that have stadiums.

My brother Julian came up to party with us over the weekend. We met up with Brad and Ben (two cool guys from NYC that we were going to the games with) at the swank place we were staying at. Ben, Brad, Eric and I had tickets to see Argentina vs Ivory Coast on the 10th in Hamburg.

We started drinking early. Julian escorted us to the gates of the game. Outside I realized that my brother Julian should goto the game instead of me; this was his only chance to see a game and he is a soccer nut. So I offered him my ticket as an early birthday present. He was stoked. Two minutes later Eric realized that he didn't care that much about the game and said Julian should take my ticket and that the two of us should go, so thats what we did. Julian was super stoked.

Drunk, Julian and I threw our shoulders over each other and skipped the rest of the way into the stadium, happy as can be. The game was awesome. Our seats apparently had an "obstructed view" and it couldn't have been any further from the truth. There was absolutely nothing blocking our sight, I think we had some of the best seats in the house. Argentina won 2 to 1. Its pretty crazy sitting in the stadium with all of these soccer nuts, quite an experience.

Afterwards we wandered the streets of Hamburg. Interestingly enough, Hamburg has the 2nd largest and popular red light district only to be beaten by Amsterdam. There is this one street called Herbert St, which is closed off to everyone except males above the age of 18. Its window shopping for prostitutes, just as crazy as Amsterdam. I was interested in knowing what the going rate was (just a funny fact to know) and I was kind of drunk, so I started talking to one of the prostitutes, she said the rate is 50 Euros (about 63 US) for 30-40 minutes of "normal sex". I should have probed her with more ridiculous questions such as "whats abnormal sex" or even more crazy questions, but I ended it with trying to get her to touch my boob (I was drunk). She didn't go for it.
