Crashing at my mom's in Switzerland
Entry 1 of 108 | show all | print this entry |
Ok, so my buddy Eric and I have made it to my mom's place in Switzerland. Air plane ride sucked and was uncomfortable, but they did have the sweetest movie setup I have ever seen on a plane.
So it could be that Eric looks like a drug smuggler or it could also be the fact his US passport looks like he put it together himself in his living room, but the Swiss boarder patrol stopped him and questioned him. The board patrol guy literally took out a magnifying glass to analyze his passport, thats a first. The boarder patrol guy called me over and I started speaking Swiss-German to the boarder patrol guy, after that he let us through immediately. I should have left his ass at the boarder, hehe.
Anyways things have been smoother sailing since. By the way Europe Trip Tip #1, always buy electronics that operate off of 220Volts as well as 110. I brought my hair clippers over which only operate on 110. Being the electrical engineer that I am, I figured it would blow up or it would be "clippers on steroids". Turned out that the clippers were on steroids. I was kind of scared to use them, so I quickly trimmed the beard and I was done with them, it was kind of a patch job. Not sure if they will ever be the same.
We are heading to Venice Italy tonight with an overnight train. I will keep you updated as to how that goes.
