The tripod has reformed. Jeremy, Jason, and I have met up in the airport in Belize City. I got in first, waited around for Jason, who came in at 1pm. Jason and I talked real estate (thats what he does, and I have a growing interest in it) over lunch and some beers as we waited for Jeremy to arrive.
Jeremy got in at 4:30 and at 5:30 we were on a puddle jumper to San Pedro which is on the Ambergris Caye (pronounced 'key') where we are planning on doing some snorkeling, scuba, fishing, and some beach.
Jason got to sit in the shotgun seat of the plane right next to the captain, which was pretty sweet (lucky bastard). Belize city has a tiny airport and San Pedro is just a little strip. Such a cowboy operation, its pretty funny to see all these little planes take off and do whatever they want. The little airports made me think of all the drug running stories that I read about in 'In Search of Captain Zero' and 'Cosmic Banditos'.
Its great to see Jason and Jeremy again. We are up to our usual antics and are already causing trouble. The corner store guy, Isic, already knows us (is that bad??). Someone told us that we were like the Three Stooges, I would say they weren't far off.
The town of San Pedro is real cool. Its really chill. They are unfortunately doing some major road construction on the main drag through town and the main work is being done right in front of our building (sucks getting woken up by those guys at 7am). The water front is lined with docks for scuba and fishing boats. The water is so calm here for being right on the gulf, absolutely no waves. The water is this amazing tourquise/blue color, never seen anything like it.
