Charlie, Lisa and I spent a nice day chilling out in the park of Manuel Antonio yesterday. Grabbed a nice sunset and some great food on the beach.
Today I let Charlie and Lisa loose on their own. They don't speak any Spanish but they should be fine. They leave on Sunday for back home and they plan on going to Volcan Poas, I am curious to see how things work out for them. They will do just fine.
I'm heading back to San Jose for two reasons. One my dad is in town for some business and some pleasure. The plan is to meet up with him today for lunch and then dinner. He is then taking off to the beach for the weekend with Mema (the lady I went hiking with). The other reason is that I would like to see Chelsea before I head out of town for two weeks. I leave for Belize and Guatemala on Sunday and she leaves for a field trip on Saturday morning, so our last chance to hang out is on Friday (at least for the next two weeks).
It was great to see my dad and do some catching up. We had lots to talk about, so it was nice that we were able to eat a nice long lunch. I warned him that I had a new piercing in an email before hand. He laughed when he saw it and wondered why people do such things.
Chelsea came over before dinner to hang out and then came to dinner with us. Dinner was short and sweet (Dad and Mema were driving to the beach that night). Chelsea and I retreated back to my place. It was great to spend some quality time with her before I left. I haven't mentioned it yet, but Chelsea and I have pretty much fallen in love with each other. A great situation but also a crappy one since I will be leaving soon for South America. Oh well, we'll see what happens.
Really excited about Belize and Guatemala. I'm meeting Jeremy and Jason there (two of my best college buddies), should be a blast.
