In Search of Captin Zero in Puerto Viejo

Perhaps one of my favorite books in the world (seriously I hate it when people recommend books, sorry for the plug, but this one is a great travel read) is "In Search for Captain Zero" written by Alan Weissbecker (I think thats how you spell his name). Kind of tough to tell much about the book and relate it to my weekend without ruining the whole book. Anyways, we stumbled upon a possible candidate who was from long island, NY, looked like the dude (maybe he was a bit old), but could have been a person that could be Christopher. I was too afraid to ask, but now its pissing me off that I don't know.
Anyways, the town was real chill and real cool. It on the Atlantic Caribbean side of Costa Rica, quite close to the Panama border. Chelsea, Brett, Craig, Marina, Liz, and I went out there with a bunch of other students. I brought my board along to catch some waves.
We took the public bus transportation, which wasn't too bad, just took some time. On the way to our hostel, Rocking J's, we ran into the dude that could potentially be Christopher and bought a smoke off of him. The hostel is sweet. You sleep in hammocks. Its basically a huge open air thatched roof under which they pack full of hammocks and thats were you sleep, and its on the beach.
We grabbed some great seafood at this joint I can't remember the name of. In was on a darker side street behind some place called Fresca (I think). Great Red Snapper. We then cruised around town stopping in different bars for some drinks and listening to some reggae. The Caribbean side of Costa Rica is hugely influenced by Jamaica, so its very Rasta. We ended up at this place called Johnnys where I think everyone else in the town pretty much goes to party. Its on the beach, bon fire, bug dance floor, and lots of people. Needless to say we had a great night of drinking. Chelsea and I shared a hammock, makes for warmer and funner beach night sleeping.

damn man sounds like you're living it up over there. also sounds like you got yourself a girlfriend of sorts ;) who would have thought, you would have to go all over the world to realize your 'dating a hippi chick' fantasy. (well i'm assuming its your fantasy, it was always in the back of my mind anyway) Hope you still come down to Colombia man! ps - enchanted rock trip was cool, but i lost my digital camera :( too bad i had some great videos on that camera of Paul Ledet snoring and generally being wasted as hell.
