Monteverde is a town in the mountains in the middle of a cloud forrest.  So as you can guess  there are mountains, forrests and clouds, and its quite pretty.  The plan today is to do the canopy tour.  The canopy tour consists of zip lines that you clip into and then zip across between trees.  Sometimes they are short ones and sometimes they are long ones.  Sometimes you go underneath the trees and sometimes you cross over a valley with all the trees below you.

I was worried that I was gonna find it kind of tame and cheesy, but I must say I was impressed.  They had some really long cable runs and if you don't brake you can pick up quite a bit of speed.  It was super fun to be zipping along these cables over the trees.  I don't remember how long the longest cable was but from the look of it, it was probably almost three football fields worth, it was quite long.  One of the coolest parts was a pendulum swing that they had which you feel straight down for about 10 feet before you get caught by the pendulum.  A group of us fell off the platform backwards (instead of forwards) which was pretty fun because you can't see where you are falling and you tip over backwards.  We were probably about two to three hours in the canopy.  It was quite pretty.  We all pretty much agreed that the guides had a pretty damn sweet job.

After the canopy tour, we all hopped back on the bus to head back to San Jose.  Kind of a bummer that we have class tomorrow.  Oh well.

Last night was a rocking time.  We went out to this bar in Monteverde to hit the beers and the dance floor.  Chelsea and I split our time between the dance floor and talking to the masses.  Lots of entertainment, these two girls from our group attract lots of attention from guys, so it was quite funny watching these tourist frat guys hit on them.  Some classic frat lines that they got:  "So how much do you think I can bench?"  and "Hey put in a good word for me."
