Well I got into San Jose, Costa Rica late at night.  The customs line was kind of long, but I eventually got out without too much of a problem.

I got picked up at the airport by a close family friend, Silvia.  Silvia is a Tica (the slang for a person from Costa Rica, Tico for guys, Tica for gals) but has lived all over the world.  She has been living back here in Costa Rica for some time now.  My parents have actually known Silvia back from the days before I was born.  I have not seen Silvia in so many years that I have lost count (we couldn't figure out when it was the last time), but she looked exactly the same as I remembered her.  I supposedly look a lot like my dad and it was exactly this that allowed Silvia to pick me out of the herd of people coming out of the airport.

Silvia has very generously offered to let me stay with her at her place for as long as I like.  Thats a dangerous statement to give a guy like me, with weather like they have here, I might just not leave.  Silvia lives in a suburb of San Jose called Escazu.  She lives in a huge condo and its sweet!  Its really pretty and roomy.  I get my own room that I can take over, so its pretty awesome.
I'm wiped, so we talk a bit and I pass out.
