Well its back to Zagreb. And what a ride it was. The bus driver was the Bosnia Richard Petty. OK, imagine this...Small winding mountain road, greyhound size bus. A river deep in the valley, no guardrails. RAIN, and no windshield wipers. Talk about white-knuckle....jeez. But i amde it safe and sound. It sure is nice being able to get off the bus after 8.5 hours and know you catch the #6 bus to the center and just up the street is the hostel! Easy. It was a long day and I got settled into my room with my 11 roommates, after that I went for a stroll to unwind.

Time to think about the next leg of the journey. I heard from fellow travelers that Ljubljana, Slovenia is very nice. But then Turkey was calling my name. I was ready to head somewhere my money would go a little further. So Turkey it is. Or so I thought. When i woke up Wednesday morning I got directions to the Turkish airlines ticket office. When I went into the square it was empty, very few people around. All the stores were closed. I looked at my clock thinking it had slowed down again. I double checked with someone, yep clocks right. It turns out it is a National Holiday! The Turkish Airlines ticket office was closed. Then I tried to call using the number from their web site, not a working number. I returned to the hostel. Some fellow hostelers were there and struck up a conversation about where we were all headed. When i mentioned Turkey, they said there was just a news report of another bomb. That is 2 bombs in 2 weeks and that is 2 too many for me. Turkey...XLD as we used to say in the airline biz. I hate to let those bastards get to me. I realize that chances are slim that anything would happen. But I feel like it would not be a very relaxing vacation.

I hear Slovenia is wonderful this time of year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahhh there was a 115pm train. I am outta here!
