Southsea Island - Day 287
Jan 31, 2008
Did nothing on Beachcomber all day, sat in the shade of the bar terrace peering out to sea. Didn't feel hung-over, just tired after very little sleep over the last couple of days. Departed the party island in the late afternoon, Next stop Southsea Island, a tiny sand bank just south of Beachcomber towards the mainland. Southsea is only a 100 metre wide patch of white sand and is truly idyllic, never spend a night on an island as small as this place. There were a crazy mix of people on the island around 20 of us I think. We had good night enjoying the delights of this tiny island. Southsea even has a little fresh water swimming pool which we took advantage of later on in the evening. Spend most of the night lying in sun loungers on the beach listening to tunes, not a bad way to say goodbye to the beautiful islands of Fiji. Back to Nadi tomorrow for a few days before flying home. Only 5 days now until I'm back in the dark and cold UK!!
