Where I stayed
In my car somewhere

Today was the final long slog north along the coast towards Sydney. Stopped at Batemans Bay for a few hours this morning and passed through numerous other coastal towns on the way to Australia's largest city. Didn't stop off at any beaches or national parks today. I think I've got to the point where my brain and probably my body can't take any more sights in. I really need to rest and chillout for a while, which is exactly what I plan to do in Sydney. I'm Staying with some friends of the family tonight just an hour south of Sydney in Woonona.

We took a drive around Woonona to see the sites. Woonona's harbour is one of the biggest industrial ports in the country and I could see the big tankers just off the coast. It was blowing a gale this afternoon and when we stopped at the beach and stepped out of the car it was actually quite difficult to stay on my feet. Surrounding the town is a bush covered escarpment which is designated a national park, didn't really have time to take a closer look.

When I was taking my stuff out of the boot of the car, a big Huntmans spider was perched in the boot seal, good job I didn't wake up in the middle of night with this hairy beast crawling all over me. I know the Huntsman is completely harmless but I'm not a big fan of spiders especially huge ones. I don't have any issues with snakes or crocs but spiders are defiantly my Achilles heel.

It's going to be a sad day tomorrow, I drop my hire car off in central Sydney. I'm actually quite emotional attached to this great little car now.
