The financial crisis was inevitable with the western worlds obsession of borrowing money to buy material objects. I've been there and done it, but managed to escape the evil talons of materialism and commercialism. All I need now are the contents of my backpack. Hopefully the silver lining to the crisis is that people realise they can still enjoy themselves without getting into massive debt to buy things they don't really need. It's fascinating listening to the radio while this crisis is unravelling. The only benefactors are the investment bankers and hedge fund managers who have already banked their multi-million pound bonuses over the last few years. The working classes and pensioners are the ones who'll suffer from this unregulated cock-up. A apologise once again for my ramblings about the real world.

Anyway, today I drove along the coast to Coorong National Park which is a long spit of sand protecting a myriad of salt water lagoons. Drove through the towns of Kingston SE, Robe and Beachport which hug the lagoons. Stopped at Southend to take a look at the impressive sand dunes in the Canunda national park. Also made stops at Cape Buffon, Boozy Gully and Rainbow Beach to take a look at the sharp and rugid limestone cliffs.

Parked up for the evening on the outskirts of Portland. I'm now back in Victoria after a couple more days of exploration of the state of South Australia.
