Booked a day trip to Whitsunday islands for tomorrow which means I can have a rest day, horay! Going to stay in the local area and not do a lot. Will be nice to spend the day not driving any significant distances, especially after yesterday.

Did have a short drive, but only to Conway coastal national park which is just along the peninsula from Airlie Beach. The tide was quite far out, so I had a walk along the wet sands and saw some crazy hypnotic wave patterns as a result the waning waters. Spend a few hours by the beach relaxing, it was so nice to have some time-out to read and write.

Sleeping tonight just outside Airlie Beach in a national park carpark. Just hope the ranger doesn't catch me!
