Left my warm comfortable bed and easily accessible shower in Brisbane to hit the road again. Today I drove 300km through the northern peaks of the Great dividing range. Had the urge to drive on some more windy roads through the beautiful rolling countryside for a few hours. Reminds me of home a little.
Headed north after my enjoyable drive in the hills. Passed through Brisbane again and managed to drive as far as 85km south of Gympie. I'll probably reach Airlie Beach and the Whitsunday islands over the next week before driving south again.
After extending my car hire I don't need to be back in Brisbane for 8 days. Will more than likely pick up another car and head south into New South Wales and Victoria.
