Where I stayed
In my car somewhere

I'm quite enjoying my new life as a Hobo eating meagre rations and sleeping in the car. Thought I'd experiment with this way of life just in case I can't get a job when I go back home, may need to live like this permanently in the future :o) Such a drastically different type of travel to Asia. It's a bit of a contradiction really, I'm now in the first world living like I'm in the third world and when I was in the third world I was living like I was in the first world.

Woke up when the sun rose this morning after a reasonable night sleep in the car. A little bit cold later on in the night though, the temperature in the car dropped to 10 degrees in the cold desert.

Drove through many towns today along the coast. Major ones being, Mandurah, Bunbury, Capel, Busselton, Dunsborough and Yallingup Cape Naturalise NP 1

. Driven another 470km today which totals 1000km in 2 days. Probably going to end up driving 3000km in 7 days at the rate I'm going.

Saw my first Kangaroo this afternoon in the Yalgorup national park, around 70km north of Bunbury. Hopped out on the dirt track road in front of me and then disappeared back into the bush. I only caught a quick glimpse, I'm sure I'll see many more.

Had a walk along a couple of trails in the Cape Naturaliste National Park. Reminded me of the Outer Hebrides in Scotland a little when I was there as a kid, with the wind swept landscape of heather, craggy cliffs and dark and moody weather.

Then into new world wine country. Only 25km north of Margaret river now and the landscape is covered with vineyards on big sprawling estates. Found the most amazing spot to stay tonight on a small cliff down a dirt track over looking the ocean. It's one of the best views I've had from any accommodation on my trip, only the guesthouses in the Himalayas come close. I parked the rear of the car pointing out to sea and I sat on my blow up mattress in the back with the boot open watching the sunset. Certainly won't get a view like this from any hotels I could afford in Australia. Not a bad way to spend the evening after a long drive.
