Caught the boat early this morning to Kota Kinabalu, the provincial capital of Sabah. Only a short 3 hour crossing to mainland Borneo. Decided to stay in a plush hotel tonight, haven't treated myself for quite a while, so I thought why not. Checked in and headed to the booking office for mountain accommodation on Mount Kinabalu. Luckily a bunk was available for tomorrow night so I headed to Kinabalu national park early tomorrow morning to start the climb of the biggest mountain in south-east Asia.

Didn't really do a lot around Kota Kinabalu today. Had a walk on the waterfront, packed my bag for the mountain, bought some food (The food on the mountain is really expensive) and generally chilled out in my nice hotel room.
