Didn't really do anything constructive today in Hanoi except to prepare myself for my return to Europe after 4 months away. I'm flying to Zurich tomorrow to stay with a friend in the centre of the city for just over a week. Thought it would be nice to get away from the humidity of Asia for a while and watch the semi's and final of the Euro 2008 championship. It will be like a holiday within a holiday, I'm a lucky man.

I took a cab to the airport which is 30km from the centre of Hanoi to catch my evening flight to Hong Kong. Only a short 2 hour flight but I have a 12 hour wait over night in the airport before my next flight to Amsterdam. I could go and see the bright lights of Hong Kong but I'm too tired to go and explore the city. I have 3 or 4 nights there when a return in a week anyway. So I might as well try and find a couple of free seats in the airport and sleep for a while.
