Had a horrendous night, not sure if this illness I'm suffering is related to the food poisoning I had in Delhi or whether it's something I've eaten or caught here in Kathmandu. I thought I was making a recovery when I arrived here but I've taken a serious turn for the worst. I've been so careful too, really unlucky!
Suppose to fly to Lukla this morning to start the trek. Obviously I couldn't go, I've paid a large sum of money for the trip, what a nightmare. I haven't been this ill for a long time. I feel a complete wreck, been asleep for most of the day in my hotel room. The guys from the trekking agency have been checking up on me periodically throughout the day, if I'm no better tomorrow I think the agency will take me to a doctor. I've already lost quite a bit of weight in India so can't really afford to lose anymore. It's going to take me a long-time to recover and put the weight back on. All I can do at the moment is take electrolytes to try and put back the salts and minerals I'm losing from numerous trips to the toilet.
