This morning we headed back to Vancouver where we dropped people at the Airport and at the Hotel we started from, there was about 34 of us who were doing the Inside Passage Cruise of Alaska. We were dropped at the ship terminal at about 3pm and after going through Immigration and such we found our Inside cabin No. 593. The ship sailed at 5pm but we turned back about 2 hours into the journey to put off two people who were sick, it didn't alter the schedule as we made up time during the night. The Ryndam named after the Rhine River is a Holland America Line ship carrying 1226 people and about 550 crew. As we sailed out and under the Lion Gate bridge we enjoyed a drink up on the outside deck. We had lovely comfy beds and although the cabin was small once you unpacked the suitcase and stowed it under the bed the cabin was great. Only thing is that having an Inside cabin there was no natural light and it surprised me that there was no clock, so I was glad I packed a travel clock because you could easily sleep away till whatever not knowing the time of day.
