This morning we went to the Maligne Canyon and took the optional Maligne Lake Cruise to Spirit Island, absolutely beautiful scenery.  We spent the afternoon catching up on some laundry then at 6pm we went on the Mount Edith Cavell walk to the glacier where you could hear the thunder of the glacier breaking away.  The mountain was named after Edith Cavell an English nurse who rescued servicemen during the 1st world war and was executed because she helped them. The mountain was named in 1916 in her honour.
