Since we had the car we decided to go to the beaches on the Sunshine Coast because they have been our favourite so far, and we love Noosa. We would live there if we could find jobs - but since its been hard in Brisbane I think it could be quite difficult !! Its only a small place but perfect, and the beaches are amazing.

We went and bought a tent on the way ! Just a little one, a 4 man not 2 man, and thank god we went for the slightly bigger one, it was only $10 more and the 2man one is designed for children I think ! Its super tiny. We also got an air bed - so if anyone comes over to stay we now kind of have a spare bed. (lol but dont worry we'd sleep on that and give up our bed if anyone does come over !)

It was strange staying on a site again, even though it was only 5 weeks ago that we gave the camper back it feels like much longer. Also staying in a tent without the luxuries of our little van was strange, but it was really fun and we had a really good night. Since its still Summer/Christmas holidays for the kids over here the site was PACKED, another wierd thing for us. Made us realise we did the road trip at the right time though!! We got allocated the smallest little plot, but it was next to a few trees, and only a few yards away from the beach ! So all was good. We were next to a family of about 12 people who had just arrived for a two week break. They had a 'tent' but it was more like an arabian tent, they even had a trailer which was an industrial sized fridge !! They were good fun though, and im sure they are going to enjoy their two weeks !! Wish we could have stayed too.

Since it was so busy, our plan to have a bbq was kind of ruined, plus our bugers had defrosted and looked a bit funny, we walked over to the IGA shop (supermarket) but it had just closed so we went and got something to eat in one of the little restaurant /cafes next to the surf club then went and sat on the beach. It was a fun moon so the tide was pretty crazy, but the sky was so bright! We got an earlish night since we knew the heat in the morning would probably wake us up pretty early.

Pretty early turned out to be 6am ! By then the tent had turned into a mini furnace so we got up and sat about for a couple of hours before heading to Noosa's Beaches. There is one area called Laguna Bay which is my favourite place. Id move there straight away if we could. The apartments on the beach front cost about $2 million to buy though, so even renting I think they would be slightly out of our range. Il keep my eye out though :P

On the way back we drove to a place called the Glass House Mountains. I could never really understand why they where called that, but guessed there would be a good reason. There isnt. When we got to the lookout it explains that the English guy (Cpt James Cook of course) who 'found them and named them' did so because he thought 'they very much resemble a glass house'. Hmmm. G renamed them 'the bumpy range', much more apt. It must be annoying for the Aboriginal people (who where around before 1770) and probably have a much more appropriate name for it.

So this weekend has been my favourite one since we got back from the roadtrip. Will be good when we are settled with some money so we can do it more often ! Though im half asleep now since its 10pm and I was up at 6am !!

Will update soon, hope people are still reading  !!  =)
We are missing everyone at home ( well most people ... ! lol )
