Whoa.  What a day!  The morning whizzed past as we were trying to get all the last-minute thingys done.  Everybody was such stars in helping!  I know this is going to be a really boring read, but I can't not thank everybody who contributed to the night, because without them, the party would have really sucked.

Firstly: Thank you EVERYBODY for traveling all the way to little old Somerset East.  Thank you especially for those who came from extra far: Marlene and Fabian from France; Maria and Etienne from London; Mala from Norway; Bela and Sanjiv from India; Jane, Sonny, Dorise, Rodney, Wairimu and Deyan from Mauritius; and Nina and Schalk from Nigeria and also those who took the long trek from Johannesburg and Cape Town.

We had such drama over the weekend: missed and severely delayed flights, lost luggage, missing suits and flower pins, unruly weather, the cake lady forgetting to bake the cake, prima donna tent people, insufficient knowledge on how to tie a tie, floating candles that didn't float.. 0101

.  But because of the following people, nobody noticed a thing:

Thank you Ria and Willem for turning your car into a delivery truck.
Thank you Ziets for picking up and transporting the bouquet.
Thank you Dossie & Stef for arranging the table flower/herbs.
Thank you Nerine for being a human telegraph.
Thank you Lam for being Mr. Delivery and for keeping the best-man speech clean.
Thank you Retha for making C look like a million bucks!
Thank you Trune, Madele and Nadia for helping me rearrange the table placements at number 99 after the tent people decided there should only be 14 places per table instead of 16...
Thank you Riaan for coming up with ingenious creative solutions under pressure.
Thank you Iggy for turning the cake into a piece of art.
Thank you Judy for rushing in to the rescue.

Thank you Marti for insisting on the photographer.  We would have definitely regretted not having her there.  [As you can see from the pics, her photos are stunning! -Thanks Cheyene]
Thank you Steynie for the video and the lovely "ambiance" shots.
Thank you Hein for being the best DJ ever!  Nobody could stop dancing!
Thank you Tarryn & Grant for helping out big time with organizing the music & general tips.
Thank you Priscilla for being the funniest Mistress of Ceremonies in the world!  You made the whole evening flow with such slickness.  People are still talking about how excellent your slideshow was.  Also thank you to all the behind the scenes work from James and Duncan.  Know it wasn't as effortless as you guys made it look.
Thank you manne for putting George in his place, and thank you ladies for putting the manne in their place and being much kinder to C!
Thanks to Sakkie for trying to fish out the floating candles for us.

Last but certainly not least: Thank you Mom 1 and Mom 2 for all the organizing and hard work you girls put into every part of the weekend and thank you Dad 1 and Dad 2 for paying for it!

It was worth all the ups and downs, mood swings, backstabbing, hissy fits, smooching, temper tantrums, wheeling and dealing, hysterical phone calls, nightmares about the grass not growing, wildlife eating the carefully planted Museum rose garden, cold sweats, hours of drying flowers you stole from the neighbours in your oven for confetti, endless research on the internet and muscular pain from dragging a thousand paper lanterns through 5 countries' customs in the end... as we had the time of our lives!
