Ko Phi Phi is a small island 45km off Krabi. We arrived early and booked into our accomodation. We then decided to go for some lunch off the stalls (pancake and cashew nuts) before leaving on a boat tour of the islands around Ko Phi Phi. This boat tour lasted for 4 hours and included walking on the beach they used in the film "The Beach" and snorkelling in the Bay. Christina bravely conquered her fear of fish next to her in the sea and enjoyed the snorkelling. There were 6 of of on the tour and the others were a good laugh.

After the tour we came back to Phi Phi and walked round the town centre before having corn on the cob, fried chicken and sticky rice off a local stall for dinner. We then booked our boat to Phuket, which leaves at 09:00 tomorrow.
Lots of love to everyone back home :) xxxxxxx

re: isalnd tours etc
The trip still sounds amazing - thank you so much for keeping us so up to date with everything. I remain very jealous, although the weather has been ace here for the last few days and I've actually managed to get some sun worshipping done! Thank goodness you weren't in Burma when the cyclone struck - have you had any bad weather as a result? All good here. Becky and Matt about to start exams - for Becky it's her finals! 10 days and she's finished uni!! Gran not great but bearing up - she and grandad are off to Sidmouth on the 22nd, so that'll be good for them both. Keep up with the news - so lovely to feel part of your wonderful trip. Take care and look after each other.
Lotsa luv, Fiona.x

Islands
Have been looking at holidays in Thailand but will need to do lots of saving. It all looks so beautiful what a fantastic break for you both. I have been marking SATs papers this weekend but needless to say didn't work when the sun was up!! Got up at 5 and worked till 9 Sat ans Sun morning, then made the most of our glorious sunshine. Jack camped in the garden on Sat night with Izaak and they actually stayed in the tent all night. They were both tierd on Sun but still managed to spend the day in the pool. Jack starts his yr4 SATs today so bit of a tough week for him as he hates tests. He's been working hard on his maths and is much more confident now. I have a student in observing me all week so I'll have to be on my best behaviour!! Keep up the good news and take good care of yourselves. Everyone here sends lots of love and can't wait to see you both again. Lots of love to you both mum xxxxxxxxxx

Re: Islands
Hi mum,
Good to hear you're getting a bit of sun. The weather here is great for most of the day but it does down pour for an hour or two each day. We luckly managed to miss the cyclone that hit Burma and didn't get any bad weather as a result either. Hope Jack does well in his SATs. Send my love to everyone and look forward to seeing you all when we get back :) lots of love Sam xxxxxx

Hey Fiona,
Thanks for keeping up to date with the blog. We've slowed down a little whilst on Phuket because the internet is so expensive and won't allow us to upload photos (I think you have to pay an extra charge) Good luck to Matt and Becky, hope all goes well on that front. Thanks for keeping me informed about Gran. Ive been thinking about her a lot and hope her and Grandad have a good break. It's good to hear you're getting good weather. We were extremely lucky with the cyclone, no effects in the weather where we were at the time the cyclone hit Burma. Send my love to everyone back home. Lots of love Sam xxxxx
