Sat 19th: Change of plan as woke up to rain + wind so caught the MTR and went to Lantau Island to a big shopping mall for some window shopping and look around the local super market.

Sun 20th: Went to Disney Land Hong Kong today and had an awesome day and lots of fun. Seems smaller than America ride wise, but watched the parade, Lion King show- which was fab, Hi School Musical show and went on Space mountain - took pics of ourselves while on there too, Buz Lighter Astro Blast, Orbitron and Jungle river cruise. On arriving back in Mong kok we power walked the 3-4 miles in an attempt to see the fireworks in the Harbor we thought we read were on at 8.30... got sore feet... and didn't see any fireworks, lol. Went to a local Chinese cafe on the way back for dinner, Christina: and i had proper local diner of fish balls with noodles in soup, not bad, and Sam had a lovely Chinese chicken curry + rice.

Mon 21st: We went back to Lantau Island today, took the bus to see the Bug Buddha, and the cable car ride up over the peaks - breathtaking views of Lantau Island and Hong Kong - check out our pics when we upload them!

Tues 22nd: We had an amazing time today :-) made an early start, got the MTR to Hong Kong Island, then the local bus to the south of the Island where we went to Stanley Market, a lovely big market selling all sorts including beautiful jewelery Christina: i bought a bracelet and Sam a lovely  canvas of part of Hong Kong. We then caught the bus up to Repulse Bay - a beautiful beach - for our 1st bit of sunbathing and paddling ( for Christina) or swimming (for Sam). After a shower we caught another bus to a spectacular and rather grand floating restaurant (see the pics when i manage to upload them, having a few probs at mo tho), we had delicious Dim Sum ( Chinese 'tapas') of  barbecued pork, roasted duck meat with honey, steamed jumbo shrimp dumpling, steamed pork dumpling with crab roe, spring roll with shrimp and garlic and jasmine tea... and of course rice. Before getting the taxi ferry back to the harbor, on our little exploration we stumbled across the fish 'holding' area... all the caught fish, live and in tanks, waiting to be someones dinner... very fresh! Christina: tho i jumped back rather quickly when the 'fish keeper guy' got a crab out and lunged towards me with it - Sam wasn't quite so frightened and braved a 2kg one. On getting the ferry back to land we returned to our hostel with a chocolate stop en route to find our washing done, dried and folded all back neatly in our room just like living with mum, lol.

We fly to Bangkok tomorrow, so by from us in Hong Kong...  XxX

Nothing to report here.Big B day tomorrow.Probably going out for a meal with three not bad looking boys. Will miss the fourth one and the little lady though but have a drink for me. Boys school been on t.v. 8 teachers being made redundant and a pile of the kids went on strike in support of them.Got out of hand and the police and a riot van was called. Our boys not included but Grant had dads nylon rain jacket ripped in the commotion and was upset about it.Hope the kids did'nt get into too much trouble over trying to support them in doing what they thought was right.Anyway rugby training taxi calling.Dad has the swimming taxi tonight.Your car resting in the garrage.
