Hiking and Monkeys around Catba Island

I slept really well last night on the boat. We arrived at Catba Island, the only inhabited island in Halong Bay this morning. Then we went for a 2 or 3 hour hike up to one of the peaks of the island. It was a great hike, but everyone was drenched, sweating buckets the whole time. I just went in my shorts and adidas and used a small towel to soak up all of the immense quantities of sweat that was pouring out of my body. About an hour or so ago we got to our nice hotel, where we're staying tonight. I had a shower and then a really great lunch at the hotel. We're taking a boat to "monkey island" in a bit (let's see if I can find Guybrush Threepwood - if you get it, you get it, if you don't, you don't... sorry). I should be able to relax a bit there, and go swimming for a bit. Good stuff!
7:15pm The beach on monkey island was fantastic. It was a nice, lazy time sunbathing and swimming. The beach was pretty small and nice. Of course, my camera died out on my just before the monkeys came out to prey on the tourists' food. I just hope it was only the batteries and that it still works. If it has indeed died, it has led a long, productive life with me, and I will my miss my dear Sony. I left my (nicer, DSLR) Nikon in the hotel room. Tomorrow we take the ferry back to the port at Halong City and then take the 3 hour bus ride back to Hanoi. Then, I'll take the overnight bus ride to Hue, further South in Vietnam.

Me alegra que sigas participando en excursiones tan entretenidas y agradables... te deseo que el resto de tu viaje siga igual de simpatico y entretenido.
Te cuento que ayer fuimos tu mama, una vecina y yo a ver una pelicula china. Al comienzo estuvo muy graciosa.. pero luego se torno bastante lenta y pesada.. eso si tuvo un final filosofico y dulce. La pelicula se ... show all

hOLa Christian, no entendí Guybrush Threepwood, quizá me podrás explicar algún día. Pero igual veo que este día también lo pasaste super lindo, qué suerte poder hacer un viaje tan bonito. Pero me dio penita que tu cámara dejó de funcionar justo antes de tomarles fotos a los monos, quizá alguien que estaba allí y sí logró tomar fotos te las pueda copiar por correo y si no, qué se hará. Igual est... show all
