Terezin was a prison camp for a long time, which was then converted to a concentration camp by the Germans during world war ii (http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Holocaust/terezin.html). It was the first time I had visited a concentration camp or anything of that nature, so of course it was definitely moving.
It was very interesting to read and see the sad history that went on there. Relatively speaking, not that many Jews were killed in Terezin, but it was more of a "model city" for the red cross to visit once and make it seem like they were treated well. But that was definitely not quite true, and from Terezin, many thousands of Jews were sent to Auschwitz or other concentration camps to be murdered.
Not really that much else to say other than that about Terezin. It serves as a reminder of the atrocities committed by the Nazis, as many of these locations do. After spending several hours, we took the 15:30 bus back into Prague.
Then, we met up with Ryan and Peter, two guys from my classroom, had some pizza and food and drinks, and met up with other friends from the classroom to hang out and just have a nice time at night. We stayed out till late but it was a bit chill, compared to the dancing and partying I'm used to in Peru. We just had drinks and hung out, which is totally ok as well.
Tomorrow I change home, since my wonderful host Madlenka has another guest coming tomorrow, it seems. She's been amazing hosting me all this time and I'm eternally grateful to her. Till next time.
