Today I spent most of the morning hanging out at my host's house while waiting for my mother's friend, Betsy, to pick me up.  She arrived around 1pm, and we took off with Angel, her granddaughter, and we all drove off to a beautiful botanical gardens/museum.
 
First we had some tea and brunch buffet which was absolutely fantastic, and we all ate until we couldn't eat any more.  It was really delicious and I am forever grateful.  After eating, we all walked around the beautiful grounds which included some Japanese gardens, as well as a museum that had some beautiful paintings and sculptures.
 
Then, we made a pit stop at a Target where I was able to find a couple of thermal shirts so that I wouldn't freeze to death once I arrived in the Northeast of the United States.  By this time Betsy had to hurry home for a spa appointment that she does at home, so she kindly drove me back home and we all said goodbye.
 
The next day I was to leave for JFK airport in New York City.
