So I Drove all the way here just to see the place my Grandmother was born. The town of Mayo worth is gone. The road just dead ends and three gravel roads split off and go out into the wilds. It's beautiful. And Quiet. I took a few pics and some video then turned around to leave. On my last pic my card beeped full. So I decided it was a good time to stop for something to eat and unload the card into the computer. I got the computer up and started unloading, then set about making dinner. From the cooler I pulled the last of the pickled herring, two slices of Oat Millet Sunflower bread, Black forest ham, and the last slice of havarti. Added a couple slices of cucumber and I had a FINE ham and cheese sandwich and a herring appitizer. A can of coke to complete the meal and I was set. I settled down on top of the cooler, and leaned back against the side of the car.

Menacing Cluds
. I was facing southeast and the sun was making its weary way down to the mountains. As I was sitting there a meadowlark came to perch on a fencepost near me and sang it's pretty little song for me. I remembered how Dad loved meadowlarks and the story he used to tell me that on the morning her was born Grandma said a meadowlark was singing outside the window. It made me think that maybe he came to visit me for a short while in the guise of a bird. He used to be able to whistle the song of a meadowlark perfectly and as the lark sang I closed my eyes and could almost smell the familiar scent of burning cigarettes that followed him where ever he went. He would have loved sitting there on the side of the road with me and soaking in the sights and sounds of a June evening in Wyoming.
