Its strange, but I'm in Slovakia at the moment. It seams like it is a really cool city that is undergoing a great period of change, it has just been elected into NATO and the EU, so they are becoming part of major Europe. Its an exciting place...but still looks like a war zone at the moment...see the photos.

One of the funniest moments was when we were checking into out hostel...As we had finished and were about to go to our room the receptionist, called Ami back and said.."Watch out for the soldiers...Because...You know we at War"...Ami's face sank and went pale white...until the guy started laughing...I think Ami's heart must have stopped.

We had a great view out of our window, the building behind us was all shot up with bullets and looked like a bomb had just hit it. It was something you would expect to see in a movie or in Baghdad..It was especially funny walking past a Bank, which had a big sign on the door, NO GUNS & ICE CREAM...Obviously, These are both highly dangerous weapons and used together in a bank robbery can be highly effective...

We didn't get to see much of the City, as we had to catch the train the next day to Budapest at 11 in the morning but it was defiantly worth the visit.

Still safe and sound.
