Hi All,

Arrived in Scotland after a long last day in New York, I don't know why but so far I have always had a big night before I travel. Making the plane trip really painful, luckily this time the flight from NY was empty, so I had 4 seats to myself!!! Still arrived here exhausted.

If you remember how I said NY was cold...I was wrong its even colder here, I put 5 layers on to go outside yesterday and I was still cold.. The first time I walked outside from the airport, It took me 5 minutes to sum up the courage (I only had 3 layers at that time). It was great to meat up with Ami again, we had a pretty quite day, and just talked a lot about our various experiences. It was a laugh.

I'm a bit sick at the moment, well I think I deserve it from the amount of things I managed to cram in the states. The Verdict from there is that NY is cool and I could live there, LA would be given a miss and the best hostel so far was in the North Shore of Hawaii. Staying in a few other hostels made me realise actually how good we had it in Waikiki, so I have changed my view of the place. I guess as it was first I did't get to appreciate it as much, as I would have done now.

Woke up this morning at 6 and walked outside..see the photo...its was snowing...and soo cold. I don't think the cold is for me, I shiver just by looking outside.

Hope you are all enjoying the warm weather, I actually felt a bit jealous of everyone back home when I watched the opening of the Commonenwealth Games. Especially because it was 37 degrees. Enjoy it!

Dodge & Ami Go Large
Hey guys,

Good to hear you're both having a blast. I'm pretty freaking jealous of both of you (and Ami's blog being at really isn't helping that), seeing that I'm stuck in a boring grey office and you two are travelling around the world.

Mind you, it is pretty bloody warm down here. I was playing in the Southern Regionals for Frisbee on the weekend (which we qualified for, so we're in the Nationals! YAY.... ahem.) and managed to cop a big sunburn across my face - that's what 100% UV and 39 degree heat will do for you.

I gotta say, colour me impressed that you've managed to meet a heap of celebrities Mal. I'm sure that you'll turn up in next month's Who magazine as the random celebrity, knowing you.

Anyway, back to the boring old work (lunch break is over now).
