Cheer up you're still on a road trip & Last Camp

Last night we had briefly met our next door campers and their dogs (we were pretty sure these dogs hated us) Tonight Melissa and Joe invited us to come hang out while they were entertaining Melissa's sister and brother in-law (Gynnette & George)
We chatted for a while and even Zooey and Zena the dogs seemed to warm up to us (or maybe they were just warming themselves by the fire). About halfway through the night we found out where they were from.....EL CENTRO!!
! No way!! Yes, they were from the random place where we ate at the middle of nowhere restaurant just a few days ago. They said that everyone from there knows about Camacho's and the trials and tribulations it has gone through over the years (most recently they had been forced by the city to install a water system and someone came to the rescue with the funding, otherwise they would have had to close down) These are the moments I have loved about this trip where you meet someone new and they have some tie to another strange adventure from the trip. Camping (yes I know we were not officially in a tent) has always been the best for meeting friendly folk.
Supremely lazy day today. We slept in and then had a delicious brunch/lunch at a local Mexican place and hung out at our campsite the rest of the day doing laundry and planning our coastal route back to the Creek. We are more than slightly depressed today thinking about the fact that our trip is soon coming to an end.
