Where I stayed
So it's been a while since we updated our blog. So long in fact that we have now been in jolly old England for a whole 5 weeks and i still have not updated you all on our last 5 days in the sunshine state. So here it is after Les moaning at me for the last week to update our blog i'm about to do it right now. I'm going to tell you all about our last five days in Orlando. I can't put it off any longer. Yes i could go and get another lunch of pie n mash. Or perhaps i could venture down the local pub for a swift couple of beers, but i won't. This entry has been waiting long enough and i know Les will kill me if i don't get straight to the point, I'm cutting to the chase.
Now let me see, where to begin. Orlando seems like a lifetime ago.
We decided that we would spend our final five days on American soil in a hotel
Manged to find a sweet deal for five nights at the Caribe Royal (A 4 Star hotel no less) for $60 a night. With the hotel sorted we needed to decide what to do with our final days. We decided on 3 days at Universal studios since they had a buy 2 get one day free deal. We are getting so good at sniffing out bargains. Universal has two parks (Islands of Adventure and Universal), we did one each on the first two days and decided to revisit Universal again on the third day since it had the Simpson's land which included Moe's bar woo hoo (Here we sampled the Duff Lager and non-alcoholic Flaming Moe). Seems like this is the perfect time to visit theme parks as we managed to hit up all the rides in both parks in two days, the longest wait we had was 45 minutes with most of the rides being around 5 minutes.
With Universal well and truly done we spent the rest of our time in Orlando shopping for winter clothes for England, eating out and enjoying the last bit of sun we would see for a while. It is a hard life.
Finally on Tuesday 29th of October we parked up old blue our trusty Volvo and headed off to the airport to catch a flight to the land of 6 hours daylight. Hopefully our car will still be where we left it when we return in 10 weeks time.
