Happy 34th Birthday my sweet...but as we have been Siamese twins for the last 2 months and I have not been as much as 15 feet away from you in the last week I have nothing to give you on this the dawn of your big day.

L&M instantly put me to shame with a Panama City themed airbrush bday shirt for Chris at breakfast. Next we geared up to check out the gorgeous beach a short walk from our campground. (though we actually drove so we would have the cooler with lunch close at hand) The water was amazing. Crystal clear, about 80+ degrees and bright white sand. Us whiteys slathered up with our SPF 80 and jumped on in. Thankfully we had dragged our scuba masks and snorkels across the country because within a matter of minutes we had fish darting at our feet (possibly trying to eat our legs). More than a few times we were immersed in schools of hundreds and hundreds of small silver fish. We also spotted a few crabs and I saw a small manta ray. Chris wore his water shoes which I made fun of him for until the manta ray buried itself in the sand and disappeared...then I wondered what else I might be stepping on.

It was also a lot of fun to hear Louise scream every time fish got a little too close or frisky...although I was screaming at the end when the school of fish went right over me bouncing off my back as they went.

Chris and I don't last long in the heat or at the beach so we went back to shower and chill out for a bit. I managed to slip off to the campground shop in a desperate attempt to find some souvenir to try and pass off as a birthday gift. I left the shop with the best two items: tropical Starbursts and a postcard with a talking dolphin on it...jackpot! I was just hiding in the tent writing on the postcard when I heard Marc call out... They were now ready to really put me in the birthday doghouse by having bought a delicious chocolate cake complete with a #3 and #4 candle on top. I think Chris was quite enjoying the fact that he could give me a guilt trip about this until he reaches his mid thirties.

We later attempted to get beaten at mini golf again but after the first hole there was a bit of lightening so they gave us a rain check to come back another time

Time to eat we went to the Bonefish Grill - an upscale-ish chain in these parts (which Chris' supercuts lady would later describe as 'Fancy')  Me: Grouper, L&C:Shrimp & Scallops, M: Filet and Lobster. It was all pretty delicious although our waiter was a little scatterbrained. Even the Bonefish Grill gave Chris a box of chocolates for his birthday....I can't wait till Christmas.

M&L then took us to the fabulous Pier Park for a visit to the Hofbrauhaus, where we all had some tasty beers and Chris had a birthday shot of Killerpitsch (A German favorite apparently) . We sat down for a while and pretended we were in Germany and watched a man and his dog being removed from the restaurant. We sat outside where we could here the music from Tootsies Orchid Lounge across the way. (Two Tootsie's sightings in less than 3 days) Pier park was kind of like a massive Disney-esque shopping center. It all looked larger than life and brand new.

Stopped at the Daiquiri shack to try another flavor but this time the rigid woman who owns it was there and they were good but just not as generous and delicious. oh well...I'm at the beach who can complain.
