Twice during our time in Sudbury we went to stay with Marie and Ronnie on French River.  The first time was without Chris who was on his big trip back to New Zealand and the second time was for a couple of days before we left.

Once again we really relaxed, the kids know Marie and Ronnie well from their previous visits to New Zealand and so for them it was a lot of fun.  They spent hours fishing off the dock, Troy took us for a lovely ride on the French River in the pontoon boat.  We enjoyed spending time wih Cody, Brad and Connie's little boy and our morning walks with Connie, Marie and the local neighbours.

Marie took us to the French River Info Center and the kids spent their time posing as part of the exhibits (hmm)  Then we had lunch at Cedar Village and a visit to the French river trading post.  Once again this was a great opportunity for us to hang with family, enjoy the company and the beautiful lake front location on which so many of them live.  Ontario is an amazing place, with a great range of places where you can unwind and really get away from it all.

We farewelled all of our family here, knowing we will definitely see Marie and Ronnie again in NZ and hopefully some of the other generations will come along for the ride!  We headed for our next destination visiting with Jeff and Carolyn near Ottawa.

Commiserating with Cassie
Hope they gave you lots of freezing, so that it didn't hurt coming out! Your fishhook wound brought back memories for Art, whose own doctor laughed when he showed up in emerg, as Art's hook was in his earlobe. Trusting that all is well now. Happy travelling, Jean and Art
