When we headed to spend some time with Donna and Graham on Lake Onaping, Sue, Mike and Cara came along with Jake to drop us off.

We drove to the Government dock and there met Donna and Graham who took us all in two boats to their home on the Lake.  Other than a forestry trail, you can only access their house by boat.  They live in a bay with about 10 other camps and homes.  What an idyllic spot, immediately you have a sense of being in a very peaceful place away from all the distractions of the city.  We were truly charmed and would love to tell you all the sightseeing and activities we did, but the best sightseeing was to be had sitting on the end of the dock, or in the gazebo by the lake and watching the surrounds and soaking in the quiet.

We enjoyed long saunas and then leaping in the lake View out to Lake Onaping

.  The kids and Chris went biscuiting (tubing) and Graham took them out fishing in the evening.  Their power is solar panels with a generator that is only on when needed and they have a neighbourhood of really great people.

The kids were thrilled to see that Donna was a nintendo player and had their fill of nintendo, in between patiently waiting for the chipmunks to get comfortable enough to take food from their hands.  We played board games and toasted marshmallows, inside!

We felt very much like we had found a really magical spot and would love to come back and spend time here in the future.

Gorgeous
What a great location and I particularly loved the hummingbird and chipmunk shots.
