This turned out to be two long days.  We had a few hours of lovely scenery at the beginning of our trip and several hours at the end, but otherwise it was two long 12 hour days on a train.

The good thing was that the food and service were great.  Keisha who looked after us was fantastic, gave great friendly service and interesting commentary and had a fab sense of humour as well. She really made our trip.

We met some very cool people, who were so great with Samantha.  John and Lynn, and John stood up to Samantha's torture valiantly.  We spent the first night in Quesnal, a small logging town, with really nice people.

The next day we headed through the Rocky trench and had some great scenery on the way toward Jasper.  We found train travel quite a passive way to travel with a much older crowd in general, but we had a chance to meet some nice people and really get a feel for the countryside in the area.

We hung out to see some wildlife and were rewarded with some fleeting views of a couple of bears.  It was relaxing and tiring at the same time so we were happy to put our feet on the ground in Jasper, though we will miss Keisha and our fellow travellers.

Chris and Cass and Zack did a two day run to Jasper in the van and saw some stunning scenery along the way spending a night in Kamloops to break the trip and meeting our next hosts. We are heading back to Kamloops after Jasper.
