Hi  An early start today for a whale watch lasting about 2 1/2 hours with Capt Jim.  We saw 2 whales or the same whale twice, a lot of dusky dolphins and an albatross.  It was very good.  Later Margaret spotted a Segway for hire so I had 10 great minutes on it.  As the guy said once tried you will want one.  Margaret also had a free go.  Kaikora is a lovely spot with large bays backed by mountains.  The bays are full of seals.  The weather is lovely - they have 2,000 hours of sun a year. Tomorrow we are going to Hanmer Springs for a soak in the thermal springs and then it's off to Christchurch for the night before flying to Auckland on Good Friday.  Happy Easter!
