Hi
Have left Bangkok and arrived in Sydney and met up with 2 bronzed fit and healthy young people from Croydon! We met at Bondi beach and did not recognise them to start with. They are in a camper van but booked into a city hotel for 3 nights. We have all climbed the Harbour Bridge which is 440 feet high and it takes 5.9 seconds to hit the water. The trip takes 3 1/2 hours as there is an extensive safety briefing and you are attached to a rail for the whole trip including the stairs walkways and bridge. You have to wear a special suit and can take nothing with you except glasses which have to be attached to your person. They even give you a hankie (attached of course). There are 1437 steps in all. The views were spectacular. Yesterday we all went on a harbour cruise and today we took the ferry to Manly where we met Sarah and Andy again as they checked out this morning. We said farewell to them about 4.30pm as they headed off in their Backpacker van for Newcastle up the coast. It was lovely to see them. I mentioned Bangkok was full of Thais, well Sydney is not full of Australians. In fact there are all races here that make up Australians. Tomorrow we are going to the Blue mountains in a hire car and then hopefully to a wild life park to see the natives! On Tuesday we leave Sydney for Cairns by plane.
That's all for the now folks and its goodbye from her and goodbye from me
