Hi We liked Bangkok.  Marg. found it a bit too hot but I loved it.  We have visited the Grand Palace, the floating market, the 24 hour flower market and China Town.  As Andrew once said you can get gold domed out.  Bangkok is also full of Thai's, which is more than can be said of many major cities.  They are lovely people smiling, courteous and helpful.  The big shopping centres are full of western designer clothes and there was even a Maserati dealer in one.

We visited all the major tourist attractions and marvelled at the Golden Buddhas and their temples.   We had a hair-raising ride in a Tuk-tuk to China Town and also a ride in a Longtail boat to see the floating market.

Although it was very hot and humid, everywhere was air-conditioned and it was a relief to get onto the skytrain to cool down.  This was an extremely clean, efficient and inexpensive way to travel as the road traffic is horrific.

More later when we've figured this blog thing out!
