We had a lovely time in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. The city feels very much like a small town rather than the big city it is and the old town was beautifully restored. Our hostel room had a view of the Dragon Bridge which has a dragon on each point.  The legend is that a dragon was killed by the first settlers of the city.

The main attraction in town is the castle on the hill above the city. The castle is from the 12th centuary and was very well restored, with a couple of restaurants in the courtyard. It had an amazing view from the top of the tower across the city.

We also visited the best museum of our trip so far, the Ljubljana City Museum. The audio guide was free and really well done and a lot of the exhibits had things that you could touch or play with, as you can see from the photo of Chris.
